A direct digital synthesizer (DDS) based 4-channel local oscillator generation scheme is explored in the project. A single channel module was developed for a first test. At the output frequency of 100 GHz the measured phase noise was -97 dBm at 100 kHz frequency offset from the carrier. Electrical beam-steering will be achieved by phase shifting the different local oscillator signals with the DDS chip.
The LO signals are multiplied to 100 GHz using broadband multiplier by x12 MMICs from Fraunhofer IAF.
